Good start

A selection of products that suit most people.

NOTE! This page is under construction.

You can skip step 1 and go straight to step 2 if using a Deep Cleansing Mask (Detox).

1(/2). Final Wash Shampoo, several times with Clarifying Shampoo or Detox Mask (Deep Cleansing Mask) 1x.)

- Final Wash is used in the first wash and after using silicone products.

2. Clarifying Shampoo or Detox Mask (Deep Cleansing Mask).

- NOTE! Essential to include in your routine when sulfate shampoos are not used.

  • About 2-3 times a month.
  • Clarifying shampoo rids hair of accumulated products and impurities.
  • A deep cleansing mask does the same thing except it also works on chlorine, minerals, etc. unwanted substances in the hair and scalp.

3. Daily Shampoo

  • If it doesn't lather well, rinse and clean again. Natural cleaning agents work on the dirt and lather more the less of it there is.
  • Massage well into palms.

4. Hair conditioner

  • Rinsed out.
  • Tip: Check out "Squish to Condish" on Youtube
  • Massage well into palms.

5. Deep nourishment

The Difference Between Deep Nutrition and Nutrition:

  • Deep conditioning uses longer periods of time, heat, and special formulas to penetrate deeper into each hair strand. This helps the hair to be well-nourished and retain moisture better and longer within the hair shaft.

  • Adding water to your hair helps.
  • There are tools to help deep conditioning penetrate more deeply into highly porous hair (Low Porosity).
  • I recommend using deep conditioning often in the beginning and then regularly depending on what works for you and your hair.
  • Massage well into palms.

6. Leave-In Conditioner

  • Used after nourishment and before using hair styling products.
  • Do not rinse.
  • Leave-In conditioners provide extra moisture and protection to the hair.
  • Help with tangles and tangle formation.

7. Hair cream

  • A hair styling product that provides low to medium hold.
  • Gives the hair a natural shine.
  • Tames frizz.
  • Weighs down hair IF used too much.
  • "Weighs down" the hair in a way that makes it curl better.
  • CGM creams do not give hair a chemical-like feel, except if used excessively.
  • Most often used on well-wet or damp hair.
  • Massage well into palms.
  • Gives softness.

8. Gel / Custard

  • Provides hold while curls dry
  • Reduces frizz by keeping frizz down by taming the individual hairs that pop up while the hair is drying and drying them at the curls rather than the individual hairs coming off.

9. Foam

  • Provides Hold and Volume.
  • Can be used alone or with cream and/or gel.
